NERKA high-speed fire and rescue boat

Водный

NERKA is a modern high—speed fire and rescue boat designed for rapid response to emergencies on the water, extinguishing fires on ships and coastal facilities, conducting emergency rescue operations and ensuring the safety of water areas.

NERKA high-speed fire and rescue boat

1. The mission of the project

NERKA (Naval Emergency Rescue & Kerbside Assistance) is being created as a universal high-speed fireboat of a new generation for operation in the most difficult conditions.

Main tasks:

  • extinguishing fires on ships of any class;
  • extinguishing fires at berths, oil depots and onshore facilities;
  • emergency rescue operations;
  • evacuation of people;
  • delivery of fire departments;
  • dealing with the consequences of accidents;
  • work in case of oil product spills;
  • patrolling ports;
  • ensuring the safety of major events;
  • support for diving units.

The boat is designed for operation:

  • in seaports;
  • on the rivers;
  • reservoirs;
  • lakes;
  • at subzero temperatures;
  • at night;
  • in conditions of limited visibility;
  • when the sea is rough.

The main principle of the project is maximum readiness for departure in the shortest possible time.

2. The idea of the NERKA project

*Sockeye salmon is one of the strongest and hardiest salmon fish.

She's capable:

  • overcome a powerful current;
  • travel huge distances;
  • Maintain high speed;
  • work in extreme conditions.

It was this idea that formed the basis of the brand.

Core values

Speed - Every second can save a life.

Reliability - The boat is required to operate when all others have already stopped.

Simplicity - Engineering should be clear.

Power - High performance fire system with compact size.

Ready - NERKA is always ready to go to sea.

3. General concept and design

The project is based on the philosophy of RenderWorks Industrial Design:

Functional Marine Design

Each line of the building has an engineering justification.

External image

The appearance of the boat resembles a swift sockeye salmon.

Main design features:

  • high pointed nose;
  • a powerful break beam line;
  • long "back";
  • compact cabin;
  • high body fit;
  • pronounced keeliness;
  • dynamic window line;
  • minimum number of decorative elements.

The boat consists of large flat panels.

All panels are designed for:

  • laser cutting;
  • flexibility;
  • welding without complicated tooling.

This significantly reduces the cost of production.

Cabin design

The cabin is as visible as possible.

Features:

  • large sloping windows;
  • minimal blind spots;
  • all-round view;
  • high ergonomics.

Color scheme

Corporate palette:

  • natural aluminum;
  • red;
  • black; "white."

The red color symbolizes sockeye salmon and the fire department at the same time.

4. Engineering solutions

The project was created according to the principle:

Design for Manufacturing

Basic engineering solutions:

Aluminum housing

  • high strength;
  • low weight;
  • durability;
  • no corrosion.

Simple power structure

Used:

  • longitudinal beams;
  • transverse frames;
  • unified elements.

Modular add-on

The cabin is a separate module.

This allows you to quickly produce different versions of the boat.

High-speed housing

The case is optimized for:

  • quick access to planing;
  • economical movement;
  • sustainability;
  • gentle passage of the wave.

Integrated fire system

Provided by:

  • forward carriage barrel;
  • Remote control;
  • high performance pump;
  • the possibility of connecting additional sleeves.

Modern electronics

Installation is possible:

  • RADAR station;
  • thermal imager;
  • gyrostabilized camera;
  • satellite communications;
  • AIS systems;
  • automatic identification of goals;
  • navigation complex.

Easy maintenance

All equipment is placed with quick access in mind.
Most operations are performed by a single crew.

5. Key advantages over existing boats

More modern design

NERKA looks like a modern professional rescue complex, not an upgraded work boat.

Ease of production

Most analogues use a large number of complex parts.

NERKA is designed specifically for modern technologies:

  • CNC;
  • laser cutting;
  • flexible;
  • robotic welding.

Lower mass

Due to the rational design, the weight of the case is reduced.

This gives:

  • high speed;
  • lower fuel consumption;
  • better dynamics.

Greater visibility

There are practically no dead zones.

This is especially important when working near burning ships.

Modularity

You can create a whole family of equipment on one platform.

Modern corporate identity

The boat has a recognizable appearance and a strong visual identity.

8. Project prospects

NERKA is not just a new fireboat, but a modern engineering platform designed to meet the requirements of the 21st century. The project combines high speed, simplicity of mass production, modular architecture and expressive industrial design inspired by the natural dynamics of sockeye salmon.

The use of large flat aluminum panels, a unified design and laser cutting technology makes production economical and scalable. At the same time, the boat retains a high level of seaworthiness, reliability and readiness to perform the most complex rescue operations.

NERKA forms a new generation of Russian high-speed fire and rescue boats, where engineering rationality, modern aesthetics and functional efficiency are combined into a single concept. The project's motto:

NERKA — faster than the elements. Safer than time. Ready for action.
