The mission of the project
LENOK Is A Single Laboratory Scientific Expedition Boat.
It is designed to perform a wide range of scientific, research and engineering work in the coastal marine zone, inland waters and on large rivers.
The boat ensures the rapid deployment of a research team directly in the area of work and allows you to complete a full cycle of research within one working day without the need for large, expensive scientific vessels.
Main tasks:
- hydrographic research;
- bathymetric survey;
- sea and river bottom exploration;
- environmental monitoring;
- sampling of water, soil and bottom sediments;
- maintenance of oceanographic equipment;
- installation and maintenance of scientific buoys;
- work with ROV and AUV;
- installation of sensors;
- geological research;
- engineering surveys of hydraulic structures;
- provision of expeditions;
- search and rescue operations;
- provision of diving operations.
The boat is designed for year-round operation in coastal areas, estuaries, bays, reservoirs and large rivers.
2. The idea of LENOK
Engineering for Discovery
LENOK is created as a professional working tool of a scientist. The main idea of the project is the most efficient platform for research without excessive complexity.
The project's philosophy is based on five principles:
- Functionality- Every detail serves the job.
- Reliability - The boat is designed for daily intensive operation.
- Simplicity - Minimum of complex details. Maximum adaptability.
- Versatility - One platform, dozens of equipment options.
- Modern Engineering- Production should be fast, repairs simple, modernization affordable.
3. General concept and design
The appearance of LENOK is inspired by the shape of the fish of the same name.
The main features of the design:
- a swift wedge-shaped nose;
- smooth side line;
- high nose section;
- expressive wheelhouse with panoramic glazing;
- compact silhouette;
- open working deck;
- powerful aft cargo area;
- concise geometric surfaces.
The main feature is the case design.
Almost all exterior panels are simple sheet elements suitable for manufacturing by:
- laser cutting;
- flexible;
- standard welding.
This significantly reduces the cost of construction compared to traditional working boats.
The design follows the corporate philosophy of RenderWorks Engineered Future, where aesthetics are a direct consequence of engineering logic.
4. Engineering solutions
The project uses a modern modular architecture.
Basic solutions:
- aluminum welded body;
- deep V-shaped planing body;
- high seaworthiness;
- developed cheekbones;
- reinforced nose;
- fully self-draining deck;
- modular equipment;
- aft working crane (A-frame/cargo gantry);
- hydraulic winch;
- replaceable laboratory containers;
- integration of sonars;
- installation of multipath echo sounders;
- side view integration;
- installation of magnetometers;
- work with towed systems;
- ROV placement;
- installation of a crane beam;
- quickly replaceable work modules.
Special attention is paid to maintainability.
Almost any equipment can be dismantled without disassembling the case.
5. Key advantages over existing boats
Ease of production:
- The case consists mainly of flat panels.
- A minimum of complex bending.
- A minimum of expensive tooling.
Versatility:
One boat can replace several specialized vessels.
High speed
The planing hull allows you to quickly arrive at the work area.
Large work deck
The maximum usable area.
Modern modular architecture
The equipment is replaced without redesigning the case.
Low cost of operation
The simple design reduces maintenance costs.
Fast construction
Most of the body elements are suitable for digital production.
Modern industrial design
LENOK looks like a high-tech engineering machine of the 21st century.
