The work focused on designing the most significant external elements of the airframe, forming the character of the product and influencing its aerodynamic properties. Several geometry options were developed for each node, followed by a comparison in appearance, design feasibility, and manufacturing capability.
During the project, the following were developed:
- fork;
- tips of the horizontal stabilizer;
- wing tips;
- fuselage fairing;
- fairings of lifting electric motors;
- fairings of load-bearing beams.
In parallel with the development of individual components, various variants of the overall appearance of the aircraft were studied. Various proportions of the fuselage, the nature of the interface between the wing and the hull, plastic surfaces and the integration of the power plant were considered. Special attention was paid to ensuring that all elements were perceived as a single engineering system, and the appearance corresponded to modern requirements for professional aviation equipment.
The design took into account the requirements for aerodynamics, minimizing the mass of the structure, the rigidity of the body, the convenience of placing internal components and the manufacturability of composite parts. As a result, a series of design concepts was formed, which made it possible to determine the most promising direction for the further development of the product.
