The Cyclocar is an experimental aircraft built around a fundamentally new type of air propulsion system.
Unlike traditional multicopters that use open propellers, the device is equipped with four cyclic propellers that combine the creation of lift and thrust direction control in a single system. This architecture makes it possible to abandon the classical tilt control scheme of the vehicle and opens up new possibilities for building compact flying platforms.
The project was considered not as another eVTOL variant, but as a study of an alternative aerodynamic scheme for future personal and specialized air vehicles.

The compact layout and protected propellers make this architecture promising for use in an urban environment, near infrastructure facilities, as well as when performing special operations requiring high positioning accuracy.
Engineering Description
The architecture of the device is completely subordinated to the design of cyclic thrusters, which simultaneously perform the functions of creating lift and controlling the thrust vector. Due to this, the device does not require a traditional scheme with open propellers and long load-bearing beams.
All four thrusters are integrated into a compact spatial arrangement around the central cabin, which significantly reduces the size of the aircraft and improves operational safety due to the absence of protruding rotating elements.
The design is focused on further scaling of the technology and the creation of aircraft for various purposes, from personal vehicles to specialized aerial platforms.
Result
As part of the project, a series of concepts for aircraft with cyclic thrusters were developed, exploring the possibilities of a new aerodynamic scheme. One of the results of the work was a full-size demonstration sample, which confirmed the feasibility of the chosen architecture and was presented as part of the advanced transport technology research program.
