The project began with a study of various options for the appearance of the future underwater vehicle. Unlike traditional technical products, the customer sought to obtain a device with expressive bionic plastics that would be associated with the marine environment and at the same time look like a modern technological device.
Our team has developed many conceptual sketches, exploring the various silhouettes of the hull, the nature of the surfaces, the layout of the cameras, light modules and thrusters. Both rigorous engineering options and more organic forms resembling marine animals were considered.
After selecting the final concept, a detailed three-dimensional study of the product began. Digital models of the case were developed, the proportions, layout of internal components and design features were clarified. In parallel, various variants of the decorative shell and characteristic perforated elements forming a recognizable external image of the device were worked out.
Then the project moved to the engineering stage. Based on the approved design, a full-fledged CAD model was created, taking into account the manufacturing technology, the placement of electronics, cameras, sealed connections, fasteners and maintenance elements.
The development was accompanied by a series of iterations together with the customer, during which the design was gradually adapted to meet real production requirements without losing the original design idea.
As a result, an industrial design of an underwater drone was created, which was successfully implemented as a finished product.

Design Philosophy
During the development of the project, special attention was paid to the combination of engineering rationality and emotional perception of the product. Instead of the traditional "technical" body, a biomorphic form language inspired by marine organisms was chosen. This approach has made it possible to create a device that is perceived not as industrial equipment, but as a natural object of the underwater environment, while maintaining high functionality and adaptability.
Project result
An industrial design of a compact underwater drone has been developed, an engineering CAD model has been created and a design has been prepared for production. The result of the project was the production of a working prototype and the successful implementation of the product.
