Our RENDERWORKS studio has performed 3D modeling and visualization of the SKIF scientific complex (Siberian Ring Photon Source)** for one of the divisions of the Rosatom State Corporation. The project included the creation of a detailed digital model of the complex linking all buildings, engineering structures and transport infrastructure to the master plan of the facility.
Based on the design documentation and architectural materials, a single three-dimensional model of the science center was built, allowing for a holistic view of the future complex even before construction is completed. Photorealistic visualizations, panoramic images, and animated flights over the complex's territory were prepared for the project, which were used in presentation and informational materials.
A special feature of such projects is the constant updating of project documentation. In the course of work, changes are made almost daily: individual buildings, engineering networks, transport links, landscaping and the master plan are adjusted. Therefore, it is important not only the speed of creating models, but also the ability to quickly rebuild the entire scene without loss of quality and consistency.
Despite the very short implementation time and a large number of changes on the part of the customer, the project was completed on time. This was achieved thanks to the technology of modular construction of large objects developed in our studio, which allows us to quickly update individual elements of the model without having to redo the entire project.
When creating the visualizations, special attention was paid to the scale of the complex and the accuracy of the territory display. The images clearly show the relative position of buildings, transport crossings, engineering communications and the central ring building of the accelerator complex. This approach allows the materials to be used not only for presentations, but also for discussing design decisions, preparing investment materials, public hearings, and demonstrating construction stages.
