For the MONOLIT project, our studio has developed an industrial design of an acoustic system that combines an expressive appearance, manufacturability and the requirements of professional acoustics.
The main objective of the project was to create a recognizable enclosure that would be different from traditional rectangular speaker systems, while maintaining the possibility of mass production. In the course of the work, various geometric solutions were investigated, after which the original triangular body layout was chosen.
The design took into account not only aesthetic requirements, but also the actual production capabilities of the customer. The hull design has been adapted to the existing metalworking and protective grating manufacturing technologies, which has made it possible to avoid unjustifiably complicating the structure and maintain competitive production costs.
The visualizations clearly reflect the idea of a minimalistic industrial product. A perforated metal grille completely covers the front surface, forming a single monolithic volume, and the light logo on the top panel becomes the main visual accent of the product.
After the design was developed, three-dimensional models and presentation visualizations were prepared, which made it possible to evaluate the appearance of the speaker system and use them when presenting the project to the customer.
This project demonstrates our approach to the industrial design of consumer electronics, where the appearance of a product is created simultaneously taking into account the design, manufacturing technology and brand identity of the product.
