TAYMYR

A new generation multi-purpose hovercraft

ABOUT THE PROJECT

TAYMYR is a promising universal hovercraft platform designed for year—round operation in regions with difficult natural conditions.

The project is designed to work in places where traditional water transport is losing efficiency.:

  • Arctic and northern regions;
  • tundra;
  • frozen rivers and lakes;
  • wetlands;
  • shallow water;
  • virgin snow;
  • coastal area;
  • ice fields.

The platform is aimed at government services, industry, the oil and gas sector, exploration, rescue units and commercial operators.


Project concept

TAYMYR is not just a new vessel.

This is an attempt to completely rethink the architecture of the modern SVP.

Most of the existing hovercraft are designed according to principles that were formed back in the 1980s and 1990s.:

  • box cabin;
  • utilitarian layout;
  • open mechanisms;
  • minimal attention to industrial design.

The TAYMYR project offers a different approach.

The main idea was to create a single sculptural volume in which technical elements are integrated into the overall architecture of the building.

The design combines industrial functionality, modern engineering solutions and emotional expressiveness, forming a new visual language of domestic hovercrafts.


Project Description

TAYMYR is a new generation compact vessel with a fully integrated superstructure.

Characteristic features of the project:

  • monolithic architecture of the building;
  • pronounced volumetric surfaces;
  • minimum number of random elements;
  • integrated power unit;
  • improved visibility;
  • modern cabin ergonomics;
  • developed service areas;
  • high maintainability.

The exterior is inspired by modern industrial technology, aviation and expeditionary transport of the 21st century.

At the same time, the design remains realistic from the point of view of existing production technologies.
