Our RENDERWORKS studio has developed an industrial design of an autonomous tracking device designed for monitoring cargo containers, transport platforms and other logistics equipment. The device provides the transmission of coordinates in real time and allows you to fully control the movement of cargo at all stages of transportation.
The project was a full-fledged engineering development of an industrial product. Together with the customer, we have explored various housing design options, mounting systems, and internal component layouts. Special attention was paid to the operating conditions: the device had to work reliably under vibrations, shocks, sea rolling, temperature fluctuations, precipitation and prolonged exposure to the open sky.
We have developed several options for quick-release battery modules that provide easy replacement of batteries without removing the device from the container. Additionally, various mounting options have been developed, designed for use in conditions of intensive transport logistics.
After choosing the optimal design, a full-fledged CAD model of the case was created, designed for manufacturing by injection molding plastic. The design took into account technological biases, mold connectors, wall thickness, structural rigidity, and product assembly features.
The project includes industrial design, engineering layout, three-dimensional modeling, preparation of the structure for production and development of presentation materials. It well demonstrates our studio's approach to creating real industrial devices ready for mass production.
